It's been a while since I updated this one! Happy February! Erm, happy back end of February.

Ah, heck, it's winter. I've just been hanging out on the sofa near the fire, reading masses of good fiction, and few stories that left me bemused [no names no pack drill]. OTOH my first solo effort story is being published next month [and you really can't believe how surprised I am to be saying that] so I'll be able to bemuse people in turn.

So - still alive, blogging more frequently at elin_gregory, and waiting for the winter to end and my usual April burst of creativity. Roll on springtime.

Congrats on the new release! There is nothing like that first one being offered to the world.

Come to think of it, I'm on #8 now, and it's still a dizzying pleasure when the publisher says, "Yeah, we want it."

#8 that's awesome! And thanks for the congratulations.

It's been fun doing the edits etc and I'm looking forward to getting the cover and so forth but it's also quite scary to think of having to promote/market the story. March 2nd! Not long now.

I'm still learning how to best market my work, and I'm making progress but it's slow going.

You'll figure it out, too. I am by no means anywhere near knowledgeable about this yet, but I keep going at it and I'm starting to see results.

I haven't had it yet. Apparently they usually let you have it about a week before, presumably so you can't bore everyone with it before the book comes out. :D
