Lord Peter Wimsey - no question about it. He was intelligent, humorous, compassionate, ruthless if necessary, stylish, competent and a thoroughly nice man BUT had a number of intense and believable character flaws, not least his utter fixation on Harriet Vane who really didn't deserve him. And if he was busy I'd happily accept Bunter.
I'm getting myself organised for my trip. Still don't believe that an email with a barcode in it is sufficient proof for 4 separate flights but the young gentleman I spoke to on the phone assured me it is. since I'll be spending a lot of time hanging around in airports and since I read horribly fast and can't carry that much, I'm downloading ebooks. I have 2 freebies from Linden Bay so far - one by Charlie Cochrane and one by Alex Beecroft - but can anyone recommend anything else? I demand plot - pwp just doesn't cut it for me. Picky I know but ...
