Miserable - that's me. Apologies to everyone I've been snappy or short with this past week - it's January, I'm feeling menopausal and I have a stinking cold..I also have a really good dose of writer's block and that's the worst thing of all.

Oh well... look, everyone's offering to do these fic commentaries so I'm offering to do so too. If anyone out there has read one and is sufficiently interested, or sufficiently confused by my thought processes, to care I'll try to explain what and where and why and all the rest of it.

For now I'm off to bed with a Lemsip, a box of Elizabeth Shaw mint crisps and Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin (two of the slashiest characters ever to grace the printed page).

Oh lord the weatherman says that on Tuesday it's going to be winter. I'm going to stay in bed!!
