Reasons to be cheerful...
May. 30th, 2004 04:01 pmYay, yippeee and other exclamations of delight, joy and general high spirits!
I have a new laptop. It's grey. and has a keyboard and a screen and everything! if I type on it words happen and I can save them! It's great!
On the down side I probably need to go on the game to pay for it and, in the words of the old joke, that's a hell of a lot of 50 pences!
On the upside I finished a fic that's been bothering me for a while so I'm much happier now that the creative constipation has eased a bit. I just need to finish the other fifteen.
Another reason to be cheerful is another little gift I had from my husband. He spent Wednesday at a science teachers work shop learning some interesting stuff to do with the kiddies including DNA extraction. He brought home some of his DNA that he had extracted in a dear little phial on a cord strung to go round my neck as a pendant. Very pretty it is too! It's only skin cells suspended in alcohol which makes a pearly white fluid. When people ask me what it is and I say 'some of my husband's DNA' the look on their faces is astronomically comical if you have a childish sense of humour like I do.
Anyway....yippee again.
