DVLC are morons? Discuss

I queued for forty minutes in the post office at lunchtime and paid my money and didn't have to pay a fine because ALL the other people who had to have their car taxed by 31st May also received their letters on Saturday as well!
At a guess that will have been roughly a 12th of the car owning population of the British Isles. The only people more pissed off than the car owners were the post office workers who said that the place had been like that since 9am that morning.

And it was a stressful day in other ways as well. I had to give a tour around the castle - a free public one. Now I've done it for schools and for adults but when a mixed group turns up ranging from an eight year old boy - at least I think it was a boy the climate being on the chilly side for chimps - to a middle aged lady history lecturer. This means you have to say everything twice at least in different languages. It took and hour and a half and I was so stressed by the time I finished that the news that androgynous Orlando Bloom, shirt off in his next picture, has been considered insufficiently macho for the role and so has been made to wear a chest wig made me quite hysterical and I dashed off the following on the office white board:

because I find waxing's much scarier"
Oh - um the Restituere RPG are desperately seeking a sensible political Remus. People who are genuinely scared by homoerotica had best stay well away. I play half the time with my eyes closed and my fingers in my ears but, that said, there are some bloody good writers on the site and it's as good a way as I can think of to learn how to write slash.
