May. 29th, 2006 08:17 pmThe joys of early morning dog walking! Especially now it's getting light so damned early. Still getting out and about when it's quiet means we get to see the bunnies. This morning though we saw something quite different.
Heading out at about quarter to six, the dog pounced on something on the drive and nosed at it then leaped away as it began to thrash. It's not often you see a goldfish on gravel. I can ony assume it had been fished out of a pond by a cat or a heron and dropped on the drive. I grabbed the poor thing and dropped it in the pond. Whether it will survive, Lord knows. It was pretty sick looking.
And another thing. Stuck under a cut to avoid upsetting those of a sensitive, delicate or nervous disposition. ( Read more... )
