Comment here with "Icons" and I'll pick five of yours that I'd like to know about.
I did this with
yakalskovich and these are the ones she picked:

All of these with the exception of the middle one refer in some way to the Morningstar Manor RPG, now in its 5th year, and would probably take too long to explain. However they get used here, too, if I remember. I enjoy making icons, though I do it badly, but once they are made I don't pay them much attention and rarely remember to use anything other than my default. If I do remember, this is how I employ them:
1. Strawberry dressed to go out for the evening - general celebrations/congratulations.
2. Cobra is my third - no - fourth favourite beer and everyone needs a drink from time to time.
3. Nebra sky disc. There was a report on the radio one morning about this object and how it had caused controversy amongst archaeologists. This isn't at all hard to do, but they seemed surprised.
yakalkovich was going to be seeing the actual artefact soon and I think we made similar icons coincidentally on the same day. I just liked the idea that there are some things that are impossible to fake. So much these days, things and people, is totally psuedo.
4. A little section of my bookcase upstairs complete with mug, long since smashed, and a can of oil. The blue book's title is "The Complete Handyman" - would you want any other kind? I use it on the odd occasions when I feel I've achieved something. It doesn't get a lot of use.
5. I have a whole slew of these triskele icons - fire, water, air, wood, bronze, frost etc. This one is the calmest.
