Yep he thought he'd get himself a slice of the Web 2.0 cake, so he bought the biggest thing. Doesn't understand about the whole thing, though.

If he did, he'd givee seed money to 100 interesting ideas and see which of them survive beta...

Yes, especially as I heard he'd bought it as a loss leader. I only hope he doesn't try to force it into making a profit.

If it's a loss header, then he wouldn't want it to make a profit? Additionally, he got no end of publicity out of it - even we are now talking about him.

Of course, there's something Temminck-y about the man that would make me uneasy if I had a myspace account.

I don't; I prefer Squidoo, where I plan to make a topic page about Orthodox web sites when I get a moment. With nothing else to do.
