It's the Food Festival this weekend, which means that the town will fill up with visiting foodies. This is great fun because they are all so earnest and serious about getting just exactly the right sort of feta cheese and hunting around for the plumpest olives and sample the thin dry local wine with measuring expressions and comment wisely that it has a challenging piquancy but would be well worth the effort. I'll walk slowly through them, bless them, listening to their conversations as I'm on my way to the chip shop.
