Today is being mostly silver

There was a heavy frost last night, and it's foggy and there's a low sun. Sometimes the sun is quite red under those circumstances but today it's a big dull white disc in the sky. The leaves that have stayed on the trees are frosted too so they look like old bits of silver plate with the copper and brass showing through at the edges and the spiders's webs are hanging heavy with frozen drops.

Damn - I wish I could find my camera.

That's a pity, about not finding the camera, I mean. They make lovely macro pictures of leaves like that, those cameras...
