Last month Sizz very neatly flicked Elin into the pond, and stood wagging as she scrambled out. Then the followed her into the house with his ears and tail up and his happy face on. He may not have had a ssense of humour but he certainly seemed to be getting a lot of schadenfreude from it.

Mine do the same sorts of things - Sheppy will be playing with a toy and Lola will wait until he looks away, then dash in and take it and prance away with it. :D

Happy fun-times!! They enjoy themselves so much. When my dog was young an innocent and less used to the devious ways of cats by HUGE ginger moggy used to dangle a paw off the edge of the table and entice him to sniff it, then stick his claws in his nose. There would be much yelping and the cat would appear to beam. If they can feel fear and anger and contentment it's only a small step to enjoying a giggle.

oh yeah, they do know what they're doing. I remember how happy Sophie (ferret, since gone to Ferret heaven) was when she tricked our big tomcat out of my lap so she could sit there: she danced in front of his nose and made a pest of herself until he got up to chase her, then she nipped under the sofa, out the other end and up into my lap. And sat there grinning at him.

Dogs deserve to go to Heaven, but I reckon that if any animal gets in there through the gap under the Pearly Gate it will be a ferret!
