Day late and a dollar short

I just discovered a draft that I thought I had posted yesterday. But it really doesn't surprise me much that I didn't. Yesterday was a day of careful timings all f*ed up by having to go to work in the morning, so the thing I was going to do in the morning I had to do in the afternoon instead, and well etc. The rest of the day turned into a series of 'oh - yeah - i was going to do that wasn't I. No, wait I better do that first!' with the predictable result that I didn't relly get anything done at all or if I started it I didn't finish it.

Didn't post here, didn't post in MM, only managed a couple of tags in MM, though they, thank God, established a little bit of plot, didn't do my 250 words, didn't watch Torchwood 3's last episode, didn't sleep well. Not much point setting goals if one keeps missing the ball.

It was my last Friday off til September as well *mourns*.

I hate days like that, when you figure you will get X, X, and Y done and instead get nothing done. Annoying. Grrr. :)

Yeah, but I'm catching up :)

And I've watched the last ep of Torchwood and am keeping my head down because I thought it was FANTASTIC! I'm reading Trangressions upstairs and False Colours downstairs, have got soup on the go, a cat in a basket on the window sill where I can fondle her if I feel like it and a dog on my foot. So today is much nicer already! Happy Saturday to you and yours.

Yep I thought it was fantastic, too. Jack's hard, hard decision at the end reminded me of Lymond's equally hard decision at the end of 'Pawn In Frankincense', actually.-

Yes, exactly, and his reaction was predictably the same. Except Jack didn't run off to Russia with a houri.

I enjoyed it so much I'm going to watch the whole thing again. I just wish fandom would stop the Russell TD death threats!

No; Jack being Jack and not Francis, he ran off to outer space with with aliens of undefined shape or gender.-

It's brilliantly done, and I'll watch it again as well, with the Nazgul, at some stage. I love how they don't have to magically reset everything so Trchwood can start its next season with all premises intact. It's what the usual TV series fandom is used to.

Instead, how about an all-female TW team of Gwen, Alice, Lois, and Martha?

I also assembled a 'celtic' costume for a friend's child and did some laundry but it's too wet to hang out. I'm hoping it will dry tomorrow.

Re: Bridget, funnily enough I said the same to Maru in a comment before I saw this one. Bridget would be fantastic - never underestimate a British civil servant, they may be able to rip out your heart with nothing more than a ball point pen and a well timed memo.

I used to write one in an RPG - I miss him.
