I normally go to work if I can, since I often get called at home anyway by people who can't find things or want to know if I've done X, Y and Z and I have no defence if they know I'm off sick. I HAVE to answer the phone because they KNOW I'm at home. But today - ah, today was the first back at work after a horrendous cold and after hearing my lack of voice and watching me empurple with a coughing fit from trying to answer the phone they sent me home for health and safety reasons - ie, they didn't want it.

And what did I do with my bonus day off? Bugger all. I haven't written anything for about 2 months now. I know my cold will be better in a day or two. I wish this bloody writer's block would be too.

I hope you do feel better quickly.

Good luck with the writer's block too.

*hugs*

That's NOT a bonus day off! You're sick. Get some rest, maybe drink some chicken soup, close your eyes. Maybe the rest will help you break your block...

Thanks. Am having another couple of days so I don't scare the customers.

And rest seems to work. I've written over 1000 words today. Turning the internet off completely helps too :D

Get well soon!

But writer's block seems to be an epidemic right now...

I'm sorry you've been ill for so long. I thought your absense was because you were busy writing. I'm sure when you feel better your muse will return.

I hope so too. I did pretty well one day - wrote over 1000 words in a couple of hours, but since then I've gone off the boil again.

I think the key is to turn OFF the internet, hut out the cats and dog and do it at a time when there's nothing else to do.

Thanks for the good wishes though.
