Yay, happy today. I've just seen the 100 best books list on camillabloom's journal (don't know how to do that little icon and underlining thing - wonder where the instructions are?)and have realised that I have read 61 of them - unfortunately the less sophisticated portion of the list!
I have also had one of my best reviews ever, where someone likened my style to Richard Adams. Poor sod would be appalled, wouldn't he.

Thanks. I'd assumed that the Journal FAQ was a bit like those pages you get with computer programmes that say 'if you want to know more read this' and are utterly unintelligible. It never occurred to me that it might be useful!
As for the review, since reading about poor A J Hall's problems I'm wondering if I should be less flattered and more annoyed. I was aping Watership Down at one point but I suppose the reviewer, bearing in mind my subject matter (HP fan fic, heavily biased in favour of big black dogs), could have been drawing an analogy with The Plague Dogs! No, blow it, I'll carry on being flattered. It's only fan fic after all.

::laughing:: Well, I use one of the programs for my entries, and love it, but I don't mind handcoding replies, either, and keep that page bookmarked for quick reference.

And by all means. Stay flattered. If they want to be an arse, *then* unlease the appropriate black dogs of war. Until then, take it as a compliment and purr/bask.
