Doing my civic duty

essayelI've just been to vote - like a good adult should - and just to make things interesting we went the pretty way and took the dog.
It has rained today and so the air was damp and filled with wave after wave of perfume from the fields and gardens. All the trees are in bloom too and the scent is fantastic.
And we were strafed by swifts and buzzed by bats.
Got to fix my mind on all the nice things because tomorrow it will all be over, the promises can be forgotten and the voters of Britain can just brace themselves and forget about lube. It's going to be a bumpy few years whoever's doing the shafting.
I use my beer icon because I really wish I had some.
