The 'powers that be' at work have become aware of this thing called 'social media' that can, if handled carefully, add up to FREE publicity and 'engaging with younger service users'. Well we all know how well the youth of the nation takes to that kind of thing and it's going to be a good deal of fun watching what happens there. However, I'm going to be a good little operative and start a blog for the museum. I've been told I can as long as I don't say anything negative!

Poll

Do I ...

a)... do as I'm told and be bright and cheery?

b)... treat that as a challenge?

c) ... some other course of action I haven't thought of because I haven't had my coffee yet?

d) ... say 'sod it' and write pr0n instead?

Thoughts?

In other news I've taken the day off and should really be ironing. *says 'sod it' and writes pr0n instead*

Combine a) and d) - bright and cheery posts with that sort of content will lure young readers towards the museum blog in question in no time, and it will be a huge success. ;)

Cheerful, gleeful pr0n is by far the best sort.

I'd say alternate all of the above; keep everyone on their toes. I expect you can pretty much say whatever you want in it; your bosses will probably be too important to read it. Plus, you're more likely to attract the youth of the nation with pr0n than with bright cheeriness. :D

Yep far too busy to read it unless there's a complaint and then OH the heavens will descend!!

What's in your icon? It looks a bit like a mop in a christening gown.

It's a corn dolly; the photo was taken around 1910, somewhere in Northumberland, by Benjamin Stone. I found it in a book of his photos-- extremely weird stuff-- but that one totally took me by surprise; I swear the hair stood up on the back of my neck the first time I saw it. Hard to see details in such a small photo-- I think I marked a larger one. I'll find it and email it to you.

Take over da Vorld!
First - I'm certain you would do a better job of it than the current bunch of ninnies,
Second - You couldn't do any worse,
Third - Finally someone would bring you your morning coffee and appreciate your artistic abilities.

Taking over the world seems like a reasonable course of action some days.

And I'd have Ben Affleck bring me my morning coffee, not because I fancy him but because I DON'T and if I keep him busy fetching and carrying he won't make anymore crap films like Pearl Harbour.
