I have come home to a house FULL of feathers, courtesy of an improperly stowed bag of fly tying materials. The bag is in shreds and there are feathers of every colour - turquoise, pink, black, iridescent green - and shape scattered along the landing and down the stairs and bits of multicoloured down floating in the air.

Who could it have been? I wonder.

I shouldn't jump to conclusions but Tabi is sleeping peacefully with pink bits in her whiskers.

But this is why we have cats! Because they amuse us so with their darling antics, such as providing a new pet thrush for the house, or pulling down the airer with newly washed laundry on it on top of wet muddy cat. Or in your house, spreading feathers!

Makes a change from half a mouse though right? Or a fish, or a frog, that they left under the bed/chair/dresser where you didn't see it and now you can smell it but can't find it?

Personally, I too think pictures should have been the first order of the discovery not clean up!

surely the darling kitty would NEVER do such a thing-- burglars, maybe. Or Paul, in a fit of pique when a fly wouldn't come together properly. Or maybe ESKIMOS....

Well... In dubio pro reo. Perhaps the bag spontaneously exploded, and your cat was standing in the danger zone by pure chance. ;)
