Much as I love where I live, I must admit that today we have the kind of weather that has made the UK a joke amongst residents of countries that are unlucky enough to have a climate. Okay, who am I fooling? It would be nice to be able to plan out door events at the museum without having to have a back up plan if it, for instance, hails, or something. Otherwise I like the day to day variations in our weather and the beautiful skies we get as a result.
But today - OMG! Now I understand what they mean by the wrong sort of snow. Wet and sloppy and slidey, even the dog seemed unenthusiastic about it.
Other half normally takes between 15 and 20 minutes to get to work - today it took two and a half hours. He's home now and, luckily, quite cheerful about it, though he keeps checking BBC Weather.
