As in all over the castle! That horrible orange, squishy processed stuff they sell in 'individually wrapped slices'. Great sticky orange globs of it smeared on the walls, notice boards and squashed into the post box.

Happy Monday!!!

It would be nice, wouldn't it? A good set of stocks. Or a pillory, or both.

I'd most probably come in and find a couple of the community policemen locked up in them, poor dears.

It looked nasty. But it was much easier to get off than spray paint or marker pen and it was just random smears rather than crudities or anatomical drawings. Bucket of water and some elbow grease and bye bye mess.

It is WAY too easy to loathe the public when involved with museums, I swear...

Good grief. The general public (especially their children) can be an ingeniously destructive bunch of idiots, can't they? What are you using to get it off? I imagine it's going to leave a lot of greasy marks at the very least (and a smell of fake cheese).

Bucket of hot water and fairy liquid got it off the noticeboards and post box. As for the castle walls, they have thrown it high and there's no way I'm climbing a ladder to scrub it. I'm going to leave it a day or two and see how much the jackdaws peck off.

**hugs you**

I think if you shoot them with trilobate-headed arrows if you catch them at it the next time, you will be entirely justified.-

Mmm, plastic cheese.

But what a bizarre way to be very annoying *hugs*.

Cheese is okay. It's biodegradable and drops off after a week or two. Much better than them drawing willies everywhere in permanent pen. That's a sandpaper job.

I'm assuming this to be vandalism rather than overenthusiastic revelers from St. Swithin's Day or St. Day's Day?

How awful! Will the tinge come out of the stone and other porous surfaces? Any prime suspects? Do you get stuck dealing with it? Why?

Yes, vandalism.

It's gone with no visible residue. No idea who did I and I get to clean it up because SOMEONE has to so why not me? All part of the job. I refused to do the high bits.
