One of those weeks

So here's a little message for the person that baked the welshcake that broke my tooth, the toerag who nicked my purse, the snotty bloke who cut me up at the junction and screamed "It's one way, bitch" when it isn't, and my darling daughter who returned my netbook with its screen smashed:

I feel better for that.

Last night I spent my usual hour or so in the wee small hours listening to himself snore but the time was enlivened by this odd rhythm in my head. It went:

dumpty dumpty DUM,
dumpty dumpty DUM,
feedle dee dee
feedle dee dee
dumpty dumpty DUM,

After a bit I recognised it and thought that if my brain wanted to limerick it might as well. Oh dearie me! I blame mylodon. I can only remember one of them [probably just as well] so here it is:

There was a bold captain called Pellew,
Who really isn't quite well. You
Can see from his twitches
And scratching his britches,
But crabs, pox or piles he won't tell you.

There, I feel better for that too.

Oh dear sorry you've had such a rubbish week / day. Really though, there's no excuse for writing limericks quite that bad. That must be the worst yet! nodbear will have your guts for garters if she sees that one!

Btw have you seen that you are currently winning the following_sea limerick poll (http://community.livejournal.com/following_sea/164649.html) for BEST and WORST limericks? It's quite an achievement to win both categories! ;)

I'm incredibly flattered about the limerick poll. Thank you for telling me. Possibly slightly more flattered about the Worst than the Best. Today's effort is just maintaining the average. :D

There was a bit of grit in the cake, dammit! But yeah my teeth are pretty crumbly.
