Sad that the CofE is against the idea. I see there's no mention of the Church in Wales's views, though given how long they held out against priesting women, it's likely they'll disappoint me once again :-( and if it comes down to each parish voting individually, I fear it'd be me vs. the rest of the PCC...
The Church of Wales is a law unto itself. I'm guessing that in a few years Canterbury will box clever and leave it to the conscience of individual parish priests.

My husband always says that calling it the Church in Wales makes it sound like some far-flung corner of ex-Empire, rather than just next-door to England. But yes, I hope they will quietly move towards leaving it to individual parishes or priests to decide.
