It's my eighth blogiversary today and I meant to do something about it but went to sleep instead.

Far too sleepy now, so I'll do something tomorrow, if I remember.

*ponders* I think you can see how terribly seriously I take this anniversary business.

Awwww - and here's me letting the side down by getting over excited about it! Well, for a given value of excitement.

I normally forget about it and check when someone else makes a fuss about theirs, but I actually remembered this time. I don't think I've ever kept at anything for 8 years before.

I know! I don't think I ever kept a 'diary' for more than about a week before this.

It's the interaction. Unless you're fifteen and emo it's hard to pour out your heart and soul onto paper without looking back after a week or two and going "WTF?" and having a good giggle.

One's LJ commenters provide enough sympathy and encouragement to keep one going and plenty of distraction to take one mind off RL asshattery. Just perfect really.

Oh do! It's a nice thing to celebrate. I've met so many fantastic people through LJ. In fact 95% of my social life is LJ based.

Hmm, maybe I should be sadder about that than I am?

Naw, no reason to be sad! I think's it's great! *g* There are some awesome people here on LJ. I'm actually closer to my friends on LJ, than I am with the friends I have in real life, I think it's because I have waaay more in common with LJ friends. Most of my RL friends think I'm crazy for having such close friendships online. I disagree! I wouldn't trade my LJ friends for anything!!
