I also saw a link to this series of pictures of drowned churches - thanks [livejournal.com profile] alex_beecroft - and it occurred to me that we have one here in Wales. Treweryn was drowned to make a reservoir to provide water for the midlands. I think that little clip of video is both eerie and heartbreaking.

I especially like Butterscotch Digestive, the gangsta :D
There must be lots of such places: the town where I was born, Gilbertsville, was drowned to make Kentucky Lake.

So does The Green Tea super hero have special anti-oxidant powers or what?! ;)

I couldn't view the video but the pictures of the underwater cemetery are quite haunting.

Derwent Church had an intact tower until after the 1955 drought. Dad and his friends climbed it (as did others) and so the authorities blew it up. :-(

One of the plot points in Searching for Julia may revolve around a pair of drowned farms, hence one of my recent photography expeditions.

Ooh that sounds interesting. There's something so sad and eerie about abandoned dwellings.
