Another day when I'm thankful that I live in a place with boring weather. We may not be able to count on it when it comes to planning events [5-9 odds on rain for The Wedding] but at least it very rarely tries to kill us. Poor north Alabama, poor people of north Alabama - what terrifying photos!

Speaking of weddings, here's a little context. This is actually a 'private' and low key affair. Can you imagine what the real deal would be like? There are people on TV from California who are studying in Wales and spending their Easter break in amongst the ranks of tents on the pavements outside the Abbey, poor souls. I just hope they get a good show and not too much rain. Interesting that the prospective new Mrs Windsor come from Bucklebury. I wonder if there's a ferry?

Another link - HP&tDH part 2. So many films this summer that I want to see.

We've had a couple of tornadoes here this week. The cell that was in Alabama passed through too, but we got lucky.

Thank goodness for that. Your area has had grief enough, I think, without more from big winds.

Love your icon. Mmmmmmm Mitchell.

We've had some flooding again too, but not so bad this time.

Mmm. Mitchell. I will so miss him.

The Hobbit both horrifies and delights me. I love the Hobbit even more than LotR and therefore I am extremely anxious and nervous and go back and forth between refusing to see it to wanting to get in the queue right now. It's horrible, truly.

I think most people are simply glad of an extra day off. And we get one next year for the Diamond Jubilee. We wouldn't get that if we were a republic.

I'm off tomorrow as usual, but the museum is open. Got to provide an alternative for the people who don't want to spend the day in front of the telly. :D

I think it's grand. Nobody puts on that kind of show like us. It's good to have a cheerful excuse for it.

Thanks for the link to the manuscript post. It was lovely.

LOL I don't think Bucklebury will ever live down being associated with ferries!
