Let's blame the cat
Feb. 16th, 2011 08:28 pmSo first thing I get a phone call from Mum - "I've hurt myself, can you take me to A&E?" That's ER to people the other side of the pond. Speed dressing ensued and I broke several driving regulations getting down there and THEN discovered she'd left her keys in the door. Luckily she limped to the door and I was able to take her to the hospital. Torn muscle gained trying to shut a window to stop a huge stray tom cat from coming in and chasing her own cats out, so we're blaming him. 2 and a half hours later - painkillers 4 times a day and some little exercises to do. I left her tucked up in a blanket with tea and oranges and a packet of Hobnobs.
So why am I spamming you with this?
People! If you're contemplating having an accident and calling a family member to come help you up - yes and this applies to you youngsters because, if you're lucky, one day you will be old and frail too, OH YES YOU WILL - don't leave the freaking key in the door!
