Don't know exactly why, but the first thing I thought of when I saw him was 'Rod Stewart'

Now, of course, must find and read the story. Thanks a heap--I have a reading pile to last me till Christmas! ;)

Afraid it's not a story but one of those anime thingies. There is a website that synopsises the entire seriesand very baffling it is too with a heroine who faints at the drop of a hat! I started to draw her and one of the other male characters but she fainted again when she saw what I'd done to him!

So much to learn... I'm a bit woolheaded; just FINISHED my endless epic (wanna Beta?) and the next day-- last night-- beta-read a new novel by Sam, whose stuff is always good. This one was about Harry Potter descending, Orpheus-style, into Hell, followed by Draco, to retrieve Sirius.

I do like the man with the mouse, even though I don't know who he's offering it to or why. :)

Oh, Folken? He's sort of the baddy of the series. Has gasflame blue hair and a melancholy aspect and has two - er - twin cat women, with cute little ears and tails, who - er - do his bidding. What else would he offer other than a mouse?
Beta-reading new epic? Heck yes. My speciality. I'm one of the betas for Anise with Jewel of the Harem - I've been at it for over a year and we've almost finished book one. Some of her chapters are longer than the whole of some of my stories! At this rate I'll be fifty before the fic is finished!
My own (very short) epic has been planned, the ballads selected and a fluent Scots speaker recruited to whip my dialogue into shape. The adventures of young Davy Black(raw magical talent and deadly hand with a rapier) and his sidekick Thomas de Cantilupe (failed wizard and would be poet) are taking shape.
