There are things about it I didn't like but I love the style of it. This is the only HP story I could see that this author had done.

Where'd you find it? I was pleased with it too; read it all in one chunk, but afterwards I wasn't sure I really liked it as much as I thought.

Less angst, less s/m, maybe, and I'd have let it last longer. But dynamite writing, no question. I'm not sure about all those "I hate you/I love you" stories. For best friends, I mean... even with the Dark Creature mindset, it shouldn't have been so hard for them.

I followed a link from a friends LJ because they said the stories were good. This was the only HP one I could see. There are things I don't like about it but the overall style is a cracker. I liked the edginess of Sirius and the way it was made clear that he had absolutely no idea of the man that Remus had become. Also, I thought it worked well that Sirius clearly had big gaps in his memory that the Dementors, presumably, had eaten away and, also presumably, at least some of these related to his relationship with Remus.
However, I don't think I'll stay up 'til half past four reading a story again - I was a zombie on Sunday.

http://www.waxjism.org/pickle/ is part of her site, the fiction section. She has another fic, Second of our Reign in the HP section. It's quite good.

Void, the fic that most people seem to know her for, is a Faculty fic, even if you aren't familiar with that fandom, it's so worth the read.

Thanks a bunch Sojblue. I've just read Second of our Reign and it is very good. I probably won't bother with the Void as I have no idea what the Faculty is. I've tried reading fics from unfamiliar fandoms before and find it very frustrating - no matter how good the story is, the reader is always expected to have some kind of knowledge of the characters.

I know what you mean about unfamiliar fandoms. but I'm always dipping into them anyway :) I would most likey not have read the Harry Potter books if it hadn't been for the fic.

Void is really good, though. I read it without watching the movie. Wax has a way with making those characters hers, if you know what I mean.
