Dog sat this weekend. She's a lovely dog - a Welsh Border Collie, almost pure white apart from a few little black spots on her ears, and with one brown eye and one blue one. She's easy to handle, very obedient and excellent with children. However, she eats cats.
If we didn't have cats this wouldn't be a problem but we do. Two big orange ones. Last time we looked after this dog she caught one of them and we had about £150 worth of vet's bills. I said that we wouldn't have her again but Jenny, bless her helpful heart told the owners that we'd be pleased to help at any time. What can you do?
Hence it has been a tense Easter!
And the cats are majorly pissed off.

*smooch*

Poor, poor cats. :( No injuries this time, I hope?

It's because her owners think it's amusing to shout "CATS" and urge her to rush around barking. Welsh Collies are intensely intelligent and so now she knows that it's all right to chase them because she's been told so.
Sorry I missed you this morning - I'm really quite ill. Unusual for me - I get colds sometimes but I think I might have real flu this time. I can barely walk.
How's life anyway. Noi fine?
xx S

they know the cat was mangled but we didn't tell them it was their dog. They had enough problems at the time - Howards's dad had just died - didn't want to add to it.

My Border Collie does not eat my cat. My Border Collie is eaten BY cat. But it's her own fault, as she hasn't yet learned - after three years - that said cat does not want to speak to her or even be near her if it can be avoided...
