Today I have the house to myself :D

Himself is attending the annual Moot for the Craft Guild of Bowyers and Fletchers, while madam was at a party last night and isn't home yet [when she arrives she'll go straight to bed]. My only commitment today is to laundry and I'll go and spend an hour with Mum around noon.

So - do I do housework [and OMG the place needs it] or do I write? I would let the power of the flist decide for me only I hope you're all having a nice lie in with a book and a cuppa. So I'll toss a coin instead.

*sigh*

*goes to fetch broom*

Lie-in? Today? Fat chance. The alarm was set for ten past 8, and I actually did get up before 9, and was up at the archery club before 9.45 - I'm the Official Scorer at the club's annual Double American open shoot. I'm ensconced at a table by the door, laptop plugged in, I've been fed a sausage and egg sandwich (yum! free!) and have had a coffee.

I've just done a pile of ironing!

I sent himself off this morning with a bubblewrap package of half a dozen arrows handed in to the police during a knife amnesty. No idea where they came from but the shafts are either bamboo or some thick reed, the fletchings are tied on with sinew and are quite soft and dark brown flecked with cream and the heads vary from a long leaf shape to a multi barbed harpoon via long necked barbs and something like a standard arrow. They are going in the Moot museum.

I hope the arrows fly today and the weather stays fine.

Write!

And OMG, it's a moot. Not a meeting, a moot, like Entmoot! How impressive! One assumes they're never hasty at that moot, either?

Well you could do a bit of housework and let your thoughts roam. If you get a good idea for your story, drop the duster and start writing! Housework is with us always, good ideas are as precious as jewels.
