Oct. 10th, 2006 06:39 pmWe all know kids have good imaginations, right? Well today the boss came into the office with a sheaf of letters from schoolies who had attended our 'Celts and Romans' school event [this is still going on by the way, I'm spending more time in sandals and a stola than my normal kit]. She read one to me, the highlight of which was:
...the bit I liked best was seeing Queen Boadicea's head on that metal thing with the babies on it.
"WHAT were you doing?" she asked me. "God, I can't leave you alone for a minute ...!"
The problem is, I can't think of a single thing I did or said that might be interpreted that way. We are waiting now for tha accusations of devil worship - AGAIN.
No I'm not joking about that. One woman's display of an old Welsh folk custom is another woman's satanic ritual. i suppose it all comes down to Jargon.
As did this email I received last week:
....
I need to update so please can I have the CRUs for the AWB by Friday.
Cheers
....
Ooookay - now I'm really confused.
Neeeeeed beer.
