Music - does anyone else average an extra 5 MPH when listening to something bouncy while driving? I find I have to be quite careful.

Later today I have to go fetch Mike from Machynlleth - he'll catch a bus from Bangor to there which means a 5 hours there and back instead of a nine hour one for me. I'll be driving through some of the bleakest most deserted most beautiful country in Britain and to keep me company I am taking old favourites like Black Sabbath and Led Zep but mixing them up with relatively new boys like HIM and Panic! At the Disco and exciting incomers like Widescreen Mode and Morian. Just so it doesn't get too samey there's some Bach and Chopin and some bits from the Rocky Horror Show and some exciting bagpipe and cello music courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] yakalskovich, Apocalyptica and Corvus Corax.

Of course, music snobs deplore my choices of listening material but then I've listened to some of theirs and deplore some of that too. I'm just not so vocal about it.

And honestly anything that keeps me awake while negotiating that single track road above Llangurig has to be worthwhile.

Machynlleth always makes me think of Bran teaching Will how to pronounce Welsh names. ^__^

The mix alone should keep you awake! I do like variety! Say hullo to all your nearest and dearest for me.

As I like all the rest, I definitely have to try some Widescreen Mode and Morian - if they fit in with the wild mixture, which is exactly my sort of wild mixture, then they will be my sort of music...

I'd probably ask you to skip the Black Sabbath songs, but besides that, I think I'd enjoy what you were playing. So there is a Bangor besides the one in Maine? I really didn't know that!
