I can't possibly justify the hours it would take me to read JKRs latest breezeblock when my interest now is fairly mild. So I'm doing it the sneaky way and just reading the spoilers. It's huge fun because you just get little bits in no particular order - just like doing a jigsaw.

I've already managed to tick a few things off my fandom crowd pleaser list and am looking forward to seeing more of them. Also the sudden burst of fanfic that this book will spawn.

In the meantime *goes to paint spare room*

ETA - because I'm not sure how many news stations/channels will have picked up the story - http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22110588-2,00.html - and yes it is relevant to HP day.

I am halfway through now. And put up a post in the Mocha with people reading it. Of course, a Chas going 'I get mine from Britain, of course' is just as welcome.-

I'm doing the same as you - reading my complete flist without the filters, which is an indulgence I've not been doing since I started being late on my ms.

It's obvious the leaked photographs were of the real thing.

Yes, I understand a security guard at the printers had it away with 4 copies. Maybe it was one of those.

Hey, scary thing about at car bomb outside of the bookshop in Karachi!

yeah-- JKR doesn't deserve all the attention; I'm still annoyed with her for Books 4, 5, and 6. (All too long, too rambling, and TOO SILLY.) You write better than she does. Hell, on a good day I write better than she does these past few years.

Someone is buying the book for me, as a gift; I'll probably read it just so I can write you some spoilers. >_<

Yay, spoilers!!! The only copy I've bought is as a gift for someone and I'm counting on them to spoil me good and proper too.

We can have a good chat about it when you get here - oooh it feels good to be able to say that!!

My husband pouted and went and bought his own copy, bless him.

I have a detective story to read and will probably read HP7, which is pleasingly slim in comparison with her past offerings, in a couple of weeks when he has finished it. He's a very slow reader.
