I haven't posted for a while. Working on the principle that posts should be interesting entertaining or educational, I haven't had anything to say.

Someone suggested that I should use my post to vent but that seems a waste of bandwidth when they are things that I can do nothing about and there are so many of them.

Just as a single illustration of this

- this morning my daughter dropped her mobile phone down the lavatory. It no longer works - which is to be expected because small electrical objects don't like to be drowned. I'm at a loss to discover how this is MY fault.

Now, starting off like that, how do you think the rest of the day will go?

You have my sympathy - I managed to drop my phone into the bath once, which killed it completely dead. I was alone in the house, but contrived to blame the person who's call I had been waiting for (well, I wouldn't have brought it into the bathroom if he'd called when he said he would). I suspect that when we do something so egregiously stupid we just have to blame it on someone else to retain our self-respect.

Incidentally, the sim-card from the drowned phone was unaffected, and I was able to put it into an old phone that was lying around, and use that.

I took your meme and came out so evil it's cute as well. Little do they know...

The original is sitting in a bag of silica gel and we'll see if that does anything, otherwise it goes down as a learning experience.

I'm not sure we did. Actually it's all a ploy. Cuteness is a big advantage. Like Terry Pratchett said - if cats looked like toads everyone would realise what evil bastards they are, but they are sweet and furry and purr so they get away with it.
