bigfluffball's LJ drew my attention to this - an account of a teenager due to be deported and likely to be hanged when he gets home as his boyfriend was!
The email address is public.enquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and with any luck a million Brit bloggers will express their disgust at the very idea.
In other news No. 1 son has got a job at last and I really really hope it works out for him.
