Plants get confused-- a couple of years ago I picked iris from my garden to put on the table at Thanksgiving. Something to do with hours of light, and they think it's spring again or something.
I usually get a second flush of a few raspberries in October, sometimes into early November. I looked out of the window this week, and spotted several still-green ones on one of the branches. 'WTF?' I thought... Must go out and have a closer look this weekend.
We had some through the first week of November, until a hard frost. We usually have snow here in Ontario by the first week of November. Oh, no, global warming is just a myth. right.
Lots of razberries are two-crop varieties - early summer and mid-fall. Yum.
They are not raspberries. They are Shaneberries, appearing in honour of the little Welsh whizz (aka chez nous as dopey from Snow White) and his imminent retirement.

I remember finding tiny wild strawberries in a meadow on December 6th a few years ago...
