Really REALLY pissed off now! I've just had to jump in the car and whizz down to the local garage to rescue one of my son's friends who has been duffed up by some of the local intelligentsia who took exception to his long hair and piercings. Luckily he wasn't much hurt and was fast enough on his feet to get away from them and take refuge somewhere public but - well - how DARE they! What business of theirs is it if he wants shoulder length hair and bits of metal here and there? I take extreme exception to their single figure IQs but I'm not going to whack them for it!! Grrrrr!

He's ok - not much hurt but deeply annoyed! He says he's unlikely to go out wearing eyeliner again - which is a bit of a pity as it made his eyes look stunning! And all because some crop-headed oik was behind the door when the tolerance was handed out!!

He's fine. To be honest he really rescued himself - apparently a car driver pulled up and that was enough to get the yobs to back off and then Mike's friend thanked the driver and legged it to the nearest well lit public space - he's a class runner. I just provided transport to the nearest place with heating, soft furnishings and alcohol!

Am horribly appalled. Boys in eyeliner are incredibly sexy, not to mention the long hair, and piercings aren't bad either. It makes me want to beat up the ass who went after him. I immagine it would do no good for the ass's ego to get beaten up by short girl, but it might knock some sense into him. Honestly!

He is popular here but gets very little exposure on the terrestrial channel, which is all a lot of us have. I think it could be because he is basically a stand-up comedian and we don't have many places for them to show their places. Pity, though.

There's probably a lot in that. The 'establishment' here does have a stuffed shirt quality about it and even Channel Four which has broken ground with some of the stuff it's prepared to air is disinclined to give air time to someone who has been very satirical about the British media.
